Miron Lakomy has a new article published in Behavioral Sciences of Terrorism and Political Aggression, titled, ‘Towards recovery or endless recycling? A comparative analysis of Islamic State’s and al-Qaeda’s online propaganda outputs on the surface web

Ashton Kingdon published the open access article, ‘The Darkest Shade of Green: Climate Change, Terrorist Organizations, and the Battle for Environmental Legitimacy‘ in Studies in Conflict & Terrorism.

Sören Henrich and Rachel Worthington organised and facilitated a day-long research conference with Ofcom on 16 October 2025 to discuss how to make cyberspace safer for UK users through regulation. Five coordinated panels featuring postgraduate research presented to an audience of Ofcom regulators, policy specialists, researchers, lawyers, economists, and engineers.

Amarnath Amarasingam and Marc-André Argentino have edited a new book, Contemporary Far-Right Culture: The Art, Music, and Everyday Practices of Violent Extremism, published by Routledge. It investigates the cultural output of far-right influencers in anime, podcasts, “fashwave” and white power music, gaming, memetic and visual culture, social media, publishing, chan culture, philosophy, and martial arts. 

Moign Khawaja gave a guest lecture titled ‘Understanding Jihadi Radicalisation: An Evidence-Based Analysis’, attended by senior officers of the Military College and held at the Defence Forces Training Centre, Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare on Monday, 13 October 2025. The lecture was intended for the Defence & Strategic Studies Module Lead of the Joint Command and Staff Course (JCSC), which is the keystone of professional military education in the Irish Defence Forces and is part of JCSC’s vision to bring new insights and expert voices from Ireland to their School to promote a wider discussion on contemporary defence and security trends.
