Katherine Kondor
Katherine Kondor is a Senior Researcher at the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies, where she leads the Research Council of Norway-funded project ‘From the Radical to the Norm: The Construction of Normalcy Through Aesthetics in Far-Right Culture’. Prior to this she was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo, where she is still an affiliated guest researcher. Her research focuses on the culture and cultural production of the far/extreme right both online and offline. Katherine’s current work uses online platforms to gain an understanding of the culture of extreme-right movements in various contexts. Her most resent interests lie in the cultural and social uses of food by the extreme right, active clubs and intellectualism, the normalisation of the far right, and in our need for historical and social contextualisation in our study of the contemporary far right.
