Katy Vaughan
Dr Katy Vaughan is a Senior Lecturer in Law and member of the Cyber Threats Research Centre (CYTREC) at Swansea University. Katy’s research focuses on counterterrorism law and policy and the impact of this on the protection and promotion of human rights. Her approach to research is rooted in the belief that these global challenges are best addressed by multi-stakeholder collaborations and engages regularly with Governments, the tech industry and civil society. She is also part of the Core Committee for the Christchurch Call Advisory Network, having co-chaired the Advisory Network 2022 – 2025. And, previously a member of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT)’s Legal Frameworks Working Group.
