Maik Fielitz
Maik Fielitz is a social scientist and conflict researcher. He is currently head of the research unit on right-wing extremism and digitalisation at the Jena Institute for Democracy and Civil Society and co-head of research at the German Federal Working Group against Online Hate as well as co-editor of the online magazine Machine Against the Rage. Maik studied Political Science, History and Peace and Conflict Studies at the Universities of Jena, Marburg and Athens, and is doing a PhD at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
His work focuses on how digital technologies and digital cultures reshape right-wing extremism and how liberal democracies counter authoritarian tendencies in online contexts.
