VOX-Pol Programme Manager Lisa McInerney is participating in Central European University’s CMDS Summer Program on Advanced Topics in Internet Governance, Civil Society and Communication Policy Advocacy.
The CMDS Summer Program is being held from 28 June to 4 July at CEU’s School of Public Policy in Budapest. The week-long program includes a range of sessions on a wide array of topics including global advocacy for internet freedom and protection of journalists and online journalism; relevance of internet governance to journalism; whistleblowing; security, privacy and the state; media freedom; digital citizenship and surveillance; and transparency and advocacy.
Ms McInnerney and CEU’s Dr. Kate Coyer will be speaking to participants on Wednesday afternoon, 1 July, on researching violent online political extremism, and the VOX-Pol project.
The Central European University is one of nine VOX-Pol partner institutes.
